IM Solutions is searching for an Audio Visual Commissioning Lead Technician responsible for ensuring AV systems are fully operational, tested, and meet performance specifications before handover to the client. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, strong Audio Visual technical skills and a commitment to upholding our company's core values.  

Reports to: Installation Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coordinate and prioritize project related tasks on a daily basis
  • Lead, mentor and support field technicians in the installation of audio visual systems
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager and Project Engineer to fully understand project scope of work and resolve any site challenges
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Configure and/or  program control systems, digital signal processors (DSPs), audio mixers and any other specialty devices used in the system design
  • Install and maintain AV/IT systems including racks, display devices, projectors, camera systems, video teleconferencing systems (VTC), microphones and speakers
  • Exercise critical thinking for systems commissioning to include final system testing, calibration, and quality assurance checks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in AV/IT system configurations
  • Provide training and documentation to end-users for system operation
  • Maintain redline documents, and system configuration to be updated for final customer deliverables package

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills managing team of 5 or more people
  • 10+ years of AV installation experience and construction methodology
  • 3-5 years of AV commissioning and system testing experience
  • Strong understanding of AV signal processing, networking, and control system programming
  • CTS, CTS-I or equivalent certification preferred
  • High level of experience with DSPs, control systems, and network audio/video distribution technologies
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Great communications ability to clarify and meet customer expectations

Physical Demands
  • Ability to drive a company provided fleet vehicle.
  • Ability to load and unload equipment weighing a minimum of 35 pounds.
  • Ability to regularly climb, descend, and work from ladders up to heights of 25 feet
  • Ability to work with safety harness in bucket or boom lift (Cert training will be provided)
